Abdulrahman and Anyanwu were elected during the PDP National Convention held late last night in Abuja, an event that has sparked controversy due to competing claims from rival factions within the party.
Observers interpret INEC’s update as a key step that may indicate recognition of the leadership list submitted by the party.
The development comes amid ongoing internal tensions within the PDP, with some stakeholders reportedly considering legal action to resolve the leadership dispute that arose after the convention.
