The Executive Chairman of Kwande Local Government Council and Benue State ALGON Chairman, Rt Hon Neji Vitalis Terhile last week Saturday, embarked on a tour of various parts of Shangev-Ya to raise awareness about the ongoing APC e-registration exercise. He was accompanied by the former Council Chairman, Hon. Engr Tertsua Yakwan; the President of Shangev-Ya Development Association (SHADA), Hon. Akpen Demian; and Hon. Alivia Sylvester, Councillor for Tondov I.
During the tour, they encouraged the people to participate in large numbers in the exercise and to obtain their voter's cards if they had not already done so. Rt Hon Neji described the exercise as crucial in identifying genuine party members and enabling them to participate in the processes leading to the reelection of Governor Hyacinth Iormen Alia in 2027.
He provided necessary support at each registration area and community he visited to facilitate the process. The Chairman also expressed his appreciation for the people’s support for Governor Alia's administration, noting that the Governor has the interest of Kwande at heart, as evident in his numerous appointments and projects in the Local Government. He emphasized that the Governor's second term would bring more benefits to Kwande.
Additionally, Rt Hon Neji inspected some ongoing water projects in areas such as NKST Akaa premises, Abaagu, Ukoso, and Iyon Market, where a six-unit toilet facility nearing completion was also inspected. He urged the people to protect the projects in their areas from misuse and assured them that more projects would be initiated.
The tour was also attended by his Chief of Staff, Hon Chia Msuega Sunday (Ogason), APC youth leaders of Kwande and Zone A, Comr Benard Zakeke, and Mr Kaase Sambe.
