The attention of the office of the Honourable Member representing Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency and Chairman, House Committee on National Inland Waterways, Chief. Hon. Pst Ojotu Ojema FESMI, has been drawn to a hogwash posted by one faceless Edache Ngbede on his Facebook page, lampooning the Aboh-OcheK’Idoma.
The office would have ignored the bullshit by the hired Media urchin if not because it could be misconstrued by the public.
In the said twaddle titled “OJEMA’S REIGN OF DECEPTION”, that was handed over to him by some failed leaders who don’t mean well for Apa and Agatu, preoccupied by hatred/jealousy and are interested in the 2027 general elections, the errand media amoeba accused Chief Ojema of claiming some projects done or facilitated by his Predecessor and renegading on Power Rotation Agreement by Apa and Agatu LGAs.
The innuendo is bereft of any aota of truth, was concocted to blackmail the Performing and Award-winning Federal Lawmaker and obfuscate the public from knowing the truth, a situation that needs answers to the following questions: the Media hireling or his sponsors should prove with evidence, any project Hon Ojema is claiming that belongs to his Predecessor, prove with evidence, the existence of the so called Zoning Agreement by Apa and Agatu, how has Ojema betrayed anyone on the issue of Power Rotation while there is no such agreement in existence and more so that he is just in his one year and 5 months in office, is Hon Ojema stopping anyone Apa or Agatu son/daughter from contesting in the 2027 National Assembly election for the Federal Constituency seat, which is very far from now, is the poster not aware that all the past Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency elections were contested by candidates from both local councils?.
It should have been better for the sponsors of this failed bunkum to use the wasted funds to publicly apologise to the good people of the Federal Constituency for failing them after occupying various and sensitive positions for years.
So far, the people of Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency are very happy with Ojema for his outstanding performance and there are testimonies in every nook and cranny across the two local councils that, this is the first time the people are seeing a Reps Member with Capacity to construct asphalted roads and execute massive and people oriented projects across boards.
Within just one year and 5 months in office, Chief Ojema has constructed Ogwule-Engila and Ofoke-Igoro asphalted roads in Agatu and Apa respectively, rehabilitated Odugbeho road road in Agatu and Ikobi road Apa, facilitated the establishment of Jetty Terminal at Ocholonya Waterway, which will ease transportation and curb insecurity along the Riverine communities, has installed more than 600 Solar Integrated Street Lights, drilled Boreholes across communities in Apa and Agatu, including the ongoing Earthquake Dam Water Project in Ojantele, Apa LGA.
In the area of Empowerment and Empowerment, Pst Ojema has disbursed fifty thousand Naira (N50,000) each to 658 Apa/Agatu students studying Tertiary institutions and youths across the two LGAs. He has also empowered 442 of his constituents with items, ranging from sewing machines, generators, pumping machines, Hair Driers etc. He has ordered for payment of all the tuition fees of the Best 3 students in each class from JSS 1 to SS 2 in all the Secondary Schools in the Federal Constituency, numbering about 659. Ojema while celebrating his 100 days in office, distributed 360 sewing machines to women and youths including, all the Head Boys and Head Girls in all the Secondary and paid Medical Bills of all the patients in all the hospitals Apa and Agatu. The Federal Legislator has also Facilitated the employment of more than 5 youths into Federal and State workforce.
In the area of Security, Chief Ojema met a very bad situation upon assuming office but with his efforts and that of other Stakeholders from the Federal Constituency, nobody can doubt that, the issue of security is better and will continue to get better in Apa and Agatu.
As a Legislator, Ojema has sponsored and raised more than 4 motions of National Importance at the House Plenary since assuming Office.
Finally, the office of the Federal Lawmaker wishes to say without mincing words that no form of blackmail by any failed politician will distract Chief Ojema from transforming and delivering Dividends of Democracy to the good people of Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency.
His distractors should be prepared for more hatred/jealousy or blackmail ahead as more projects, empowerments and other transformational projects will continue to flow the way of Apa and Agatu.
